Jordan’s gravitation towards textiles, ecology, and agricultural imagery stem from her own family history.
The walls of Jordan’s studio and home are adorned with dresses, needlepoint works, paintings, and quilts created by the generations of resilient creative women that came before her in the prairies and farmland she calls home. These delicate heirlooms act as inspiration when choosing the mediums appropriate for each artwork’s message and composition, and Jordan aims to honor them directly through subject matter, materials, and mediums.
